PLANNING: my magazine

MoNey$: THIS IS MY MAGAZINE LOGO:

At the current point in time, i have produced a few rough sketches of how i would like my magazine cover to look. The varying layouts will have to be put thorough rigiourous testing and examination. Then i will have to go forth with the process of elimination as to which one will be choosen for my final piece and professionaly produced on photoshop cs. I have most of my ideas that were floating around in my head brought into solid form and jotted down on paper. Here are a few things i have finialised as part of my production:

THE COVER:
- My magazine will be called: STRIPPED
I think this is a very appropriate and clever name for my magazine because basiclly highlights all the contents of my magazine and places it in the tilte name for all viewers to see. It is a magazine that will contain exclusive interviews bringing you information about your favourite stars 1st, they will ultimately be 'stripped' lol and laid bare for all our viewrs to see what really makes them tick and what your stars really get up to behind close curtains. The tilte STRIPPED will contain the 2nd 'P' to be inverted to give it a jazzier look and make it more susceptible to the intended audience. The colours i have choosen to use for my title are red and black. The letters 'STRIP' to be coloured in red and the letters 'PED' in black. this creates a funky futuristic look.

-Colours: As i have already mentioned, i will be using the colours red and black as my focus points cuz as we all no, red is the new black. lol. I think that these clouors will be very effective in the fact that they are very commonly seen as 'musical colours' and thus i think will be approriatae for my intended audience and my magazine.

-Fonts: Still unsure of which font to use as i have quite afew that are my favs. lol. I'll keep you posted as soon as i choose which one i want to use tho ;)

-Image: Hmmmm, this is probably the most important if not interesting thing that will have to go on to my front cover. It will take up 2/3 of the space on my page. It will have to be of a related purpose so thus will include a picture of a sexy pop star e.g. j-lo, beyonce, chistina augilera, justin timberlake etc... For my production, i will use someone good looking and produce the image myself using the aid of a friend to pose in my photo. This image will portray the person in a sexy pose to help reach out to the intended target audience. This image will have to realte to the issue of sex appeal thus forth. I already have found a few potential candidates for my pictures and once again am going thorugh the process of elimation. Keep checking this space cuz i'll keep you posted.

THE DOUBLE PAGE:
- for the inclusion of my realted articles for my magazine, i will include a page of contents. It will include things in the production of exclusive interviews, what your fav celebs are getting up to, their kinky secrets, which celeb has been under the knife and had plastic surgery etc

-I will include some relevant pictures to the contents page to give it a professional look and i have to also keep in mind the range of my intended target audience. I will produce the images i will use in my magazine by taking photos on a camera but will come closer to finalising these pix when i have completed the front page.

-I have a design layout for the contents page sketched out on paper. Title displaying 'contents' The writing will be on the right hand side and a few images scattered around. one main image will be place at the bottom which will realte to a small revealing article about that celebrity, to find out more about that celeb you will be refered to the pg num.

-Colours, although i am very confident in my choice of clouors for the front page, i am stilll unsure of the colours to focus on in my double page. I will spend my time at home today thinking of some attracrive colour codes, something that will apeal to the target audience and be attractive.

THINGS THAT MAKE MY MAGAZINE WHAT IT IS:
-Unique selling Point
What will make my magazine stand out from all the other music magazines out there is the fact that my magazines main selling point will be the fact that it is an eclectic music magazine aimed at everyone. It will not restrict itself to one stereotypical music type like other music magazines such as NME do. This would broaden the magazines appeal to all types of people and bring together teenage music lovers of all kind. Because this magazine is aimed at young teenagers it will approach written articles in a youthful way to help reach out to our young readers. Added bonuses will be the fact that it will bring you all the juicest gossip about your fav celebs 1st through exclusive interviewing, freebies such as demo cd's, dvd's and money off vouchers for HMV.
-Colour codes
I have already choosen the colours RED and BLACK as my main focus colours for my front page. The double page colour scheme is yet to be decided.
-Mode of address
I will be relying on two things to make 'ccntact' with my audience. The magazine name which will hypothetically speaking have built a fan base and also the sritking images of celebs at the front in a sexy pose in an aim to reach out to the audience in termms of sex appeal e.g. a buyer might have a crush on the celeb at the front and thus therefore be persuaded to buy the magazine.
-The production
For my overall production of my magazine i will be using photoshop cs to produce a very professional piece of looking work. I will get my pictures from the internet and for the writing of the actual article i will just produce a fictional piece of text.
-Style
My magazine style will be funky, contemporary and very 'now' this is to appeal to the intended target audice. Although i am aiming for a very professional piece of looking work, i will not let it restrict to the confines of the norm. i am going to really go all out to produce a unique piece of work.
-Images
I will produce the pictures i will be using in my magazine myself. They will be of my friends, i will be creating completely fictitious celebrity stars and give my friends their 15 minutes of fame lol. I shall keep a copy of all original pictures used to show the overall transformation of how i did things and also why i did things that way. This will later prove useful for my evaluation also.
